Welcome to our church's newly updated website. Both Queens Park & Western Road are centres for worship and service. Worship is expressed through a breadth of styles to meet the needs of our culturally eclectic town. Service is our response to God’s love for us. Consequently, we seek to meet the needs of living in today’s world and to be alongside others as they experience both joys and difficulties. We aim to show the relevance of the Gospel message of Jesus—one of hope and encouragement. God’s people are bonded together not by adversity but by love. So, whether visitor or resident in Billericay you are never cut off from the body of Christ. St Paul puts it this way: Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Ephesians 2,19-22 We invite all to browse our website, but you are especially welcome if you are a newcomer or visitor to Billericay and are looking for a church at which to worship. We hope to demonstrate that we have something to offer you. Our church welcomes all, and makes no demands for age, gender, race, sexuality or marital status. If you can get to Billericay, please join us on this coming Sunday. We shall make you most welcome. Les Wallace Baptisms, marriages and funerals are the rites of passage that mark the most important events in life. Our minister will help you seek God's blessing and celebrate a new phase in life or life's passing, whether it is to be held at our church or at another appropriate location of your own choosing. For baptism or marriage, the minister will meet with you beforehand to discuss the meaning of these sacraments and what you will be promising for yourself (and for your child in the case of infant baptism) before God. |
