Our missionevangelism

An invitation to passers-by

Evangelism is communicating our faith to other people. We believe it is essential to the life of the Church and the lives of individual Christians and is not an optional extra.

We communicate through what we are, what we do and, least importantly, through the words we speak. We reach out to our community through the varied activities and means of service that we offer.

Evangelism means encouraging others to explore the claims of the Gospel and to join us on the journey of faith.

Evangelism with Alpha

The Alpha course is a great way to learn about the Christian faith.

It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers, and in ten thought provoking sessions in a relaxed setting it explores our faith and the meaning of life.

In Britain, over two million people have already attended an Alpha course. In Billericay, the churches, cooperating as Churches Together in Billericay, hold frequent courses.

Contact us to find out when and where the next course will be held.

Taking the Gospel to our schools

Schools Ministry Billericay (SMB) works in all the primary and secondary schools in the Billericay area to fulfill its aim "to connect children and young people with Christ and his church."

By presenting Christianity in a lively and relevant way, the SMB team helps young people gain a clear understanding of Christianity.

SMB is led by school workers Jane Andrews and Sue Reader, supported by a group of volunteers, including our own youth worker Dave Chuck.
